Good design, Green design, Intentional design… along with real world lessons and examples of implementation.

Micah uses this blog as an extension of his work at themjhface1 The Re-Development Group Inc, to help inform others on real world, workable solutions to create more efficient homes, offices and businesses.  In the late summer of ‘09, Micah and his family started their own construction project of building a LEED-H certified green home.  Many of the current posts are about that project and process (simply click on “Personal Home” in the categories to see these posts) but many other topics and discussions are posted from other projects, completed by the company.

Micah’s Bio is as follows:

Micah J. Hill is the Manager of Operations at The Re-Development Group Inc, a Design/Build contractor that specializes in Urban, Green & Contemporary construction projects.  Micah’s interest in Green Building started 11+ years ago due to his own experience of home ownership and a family member’s allergies. Micah graduated from Taylor University with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Communications.  Micah has obtained the USGBC accreditation of “LEED-AP” and has also earned the National Association of Home Builders’ “Green Certified Professional” designation.  He currently serves as a co-chair for Indy Green Build, the green building committee of the Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis and is on the board of directors for BPCI, a local buying group for the Indianapolis area construction industry.  Outside of work, his wife Andrea, daughter Cora, and dog Oliver keep him busy.
